Purpose of the group
To create a safe space where teenagers can share their experiences, learn self-regulation skills, develop emotional intelligence, and provide mutual support. The group aims to increase confidence, build healthy relationships, and foster better self-understanding.

Structure of sessions
Each session lasts 90 minutes and includes:

  • Warm-up and check-in (10–15 min) – icebreakers, physical or emotional check-ins.
  • Main part (50–60 min) – working on the topic of the session (discussion, interactive activities, role plays, creative exercises).
  • Closing (15–20 min) – reflection circle, sharing feelings and insights, a small task for the week.

Approximate topics of the 12 sessions

  1. Introduction and group safety rules.
  2. Me and my resources. Strengths.
  3. Emotions: how to recognize and express them.
  4. Anxiety and stress: self-help strategies.
  5. Friendship and trust.
  6. Conflicts and ways to resolve them.
  7. Self-esteem and self-image.
  8. Family and my place in it.
  9. Boundaries and personal safety.
  10. Social media and peer influence.
  11. Dreams, goals, and future planning.
  12. Final session: what I take with me.

Expected results

Contract description

Age of participants: 14–18 years old

Group size: 8–15 participants
Format: 12 sessions, each 90 minutes (once a week)
Attendance: regular participation in all sessions is required

Safety rules:

  • mutual respect and kindness;
  • confidentiality (what is shared in the group stays in the group);
  • the right to speak or remain silent (no one is forced to share more than they are ready to).

Form of participation: active — participants are engaged in discussions, exercises, and games.

Cost / payment terms: $20 per session; 10% discount if the whole program is paid in advance. In case of absence, 50% of the session fee is charged.

Parental/guardian consent: written consent is required, or a preliminary call with the facilitator.
